Star Wars Clone Wars Jedi Alliance

The genre of star wars clone wars Jedi alliance is a sci-fi action RPG game, this game fits in well with its genre because there is quite a lot of other worldly activates that take place within this game.

The basic narrative behind this game is that the night sisters have returned and are harvesting lightsabre crystals in order to create a weapon for the separatists and it’s up to the Jedi to investigate what’s going on.
The story affects your approach on the character by making you feel closer to a certain group that choose through partnership, that is the main feature that brings the relationships with character and the player closer.

This game was produced in 2008 by LucasArt, during the time these graphics were seen as quite impressive so the flashing lights and sound effect helped build into the diegesis of the game and enhanced the gameplay of the game in general.
On this gave most of the combat was controlled using the DS pen, this gave players more of a connection to the game in general and helped build a connection between the player and the game.

The way that the characters appeal to the target audience is by having an influential aspect to them, by promoting good in order to be represented as a positive role model to the target audience.
The way in which the character relate to the genre is by constantly speaking of other worldly elements such as the force in order to reinforce the genre to the audience.

The challenges presented in this game consist of droids and sith, these are the main challenges within the diegesis of this game because they are masters of long range and close ranged combat. Personally I would say that the hardest in terms of combat would be the sith due to the cat that they’re as fast as the Jedi and have quite a high an unpredictable defensive side to them.
The main element in terms of the gameplay that lead to this games success is the fact that this game managed to have a good combat system even though it was a DS game.

The target audience for this game were people from ages 12, I personally believe that this is the perfect age for the target audience because there is violence but not too much and no graphical content either.
This game appeals to the target audience by having a various amount to selectable fan popular character within the Jedi summit.  Therefore meeting the audiences request for a larger range of characters.
In comparison to other star wars games the roster of characters available are quite slim although the diegesis of the game makes up for this completely compared to other star wars games that attract people who only want to play the game at home, this game is a portable means of gaming.

The primary platform that this game is produced on is Nintendo DS, this is because it is quite an interactive game and it suits Nintendo more in terms of what fits their requirements. This game suits this platform due to the fact that it’s quite an interactive game and it requires touch contact to use the combat system.

LO2: Sims 3 Game Analysis

The sims 3 is a game which allows you to create your own families and decided how they shall live within the Sims community. The genre for The Sims 3 is a life simulation game. This fits in with the genre compared to other life simulation games because this game basically has no limits when it comes to what is provides for the genre.

The basic narratives for The Sims 3 is build a family, find a house or create one and begin to manage their social and economic life’s within the community. In terms of the gameplay there isn’t much of a linear diegesis but by allowing you to have control of the game gives you a better understand of the controls as you go along.
How you approach the characters of the game is completely up to you, you can develop your own personal story for your characters and it won’t have to affect your views on the characters at all due to the fact that your characters connect to you on a more personal level.

The Sims 3 is a life simulation game produced by EA to give users a experience of controlling the life’s of self-created avatars by giving the player God like abilities. This game released in 2009.
One of the main elements that have been enhanced in order to improve the gameplay was the task list, in comparison to Sims 2 Sims 3 allows you to choose a lot more options when setting your sim a specific task to do, this is good for the gameplay because it makes everything a lot faster and fluent when playing. 

Character in the sims 3 are relevant to the target audience because this game allows the target audience to design their own character based on what they would want them to be like and design a whole family based around them. This makes the characters feel more unique for the target audience because they have a more personal feel to them.


Within the Sims 3 gameplay I would say the biggest challenge in general is balancing out all of the required needs of your sims, you will come to understand that the more sims you have the more needs they will have and if you do not make sure that their needs are for filled the results could be life threating.
The key to the success of the gameplay would be the interactive mode, this allows the player to create and modify the interior and exterior of their house to best suit them and their sims, this brings success to the franchise by allowing players to have their own individual designs

The way in which Sims 3 constantly evolves to keep the attention of its players is by releasing various map packs which have new and exciting features the bring something new to the game that has never been see before, possible changing the in game story of your sims world completely.


The target audience for The Sims 3 is for people 12 and over, this is because there are a few violent interactions that you can make occur during this game along with a few romantic scenes viewed as unsuitable for people below the ages of 12.

In comparison to other games targeting the same target audience sims 3 manages to give the players a more in depth feel into controlling a whole world and family of sims, where as some game can only manage to do a few of the things that sims 3 has in its store

The Sims 3 is only these platforms: PC and IOS, although the primary platform for the sims 3 is the PC. This is mainly due to the fact there are a lot options to select from on PC in comparison to on iOS which is quite limited in terms of its in game options.

LO2: NBA 2K15 Game Analysis form

NBA 2K15 is a basketball sports game that fits within the genre category of sports. The way in which this game presents itself in comparison to other games of this genre is by creating a sports RPG, this is different because not many sports games follow this pathway and the developers at 2K are the best at this style of genre.

The NBA 2K15 narrative consists of one primary focus; this begins with your character missing out on the 2014 NBA draft. From this point in the diegesis of the game your agent contacts a range of teams in order to get your player a 10 game contract into the NBA, in order to prove your worth to the league solidifying your chances of getting signed to a team. This story informs the gameplay by giving the players a sense of urgency and desperation in order to preform to the best of their limits so they will not get dropped from their 10 day contract. The story affects the players approach on the game by making them feel like they really have to prove their self in terms of having an earning their role and minutes on the court, this motivates the plyers to aspire to become the best so they can have the maximum amount of minutes.
The way in which you can interact with different characters on NBA 2K15 through either MyCareer or MyGM is by social media, this allows your character to negotiate with other players in meetings and help build friendships with other NPC players. These methods of interaction an increase your chances of winning championships within the diegesis of the game.

The production for NBA 2K15 began in 2014 and is the 2nd NBA game release that 2K have produced. NBA 2K15 in terms of its production began with 2K14, using the same game mechanics from the previous game but enhancing the quality of players and colouring to bring verisimilitude to the game.
The game physics of this game have been improved in comparison to the previous game, you understand this because in terms of in game experience players on defence have become more physical  and other NPC character are now able to strategies in terms of either the offensive or defensive side of the game.

The way in which the character is relevant to the target audience is by allowing the target audience to create their own character based on their ideal self’s in terms of what they would like to be like or how they imagine them self’s, by doing this the audience will feel more of a connection with the game almost giving them a sense as if they are actually the player within the diegesis of this game. In terms of how strong I think the character are I really think 2K did it well with 2K15 because it really felt as if we were within the shoes of our own custom character during the highs and lows of his career.

Throughout this game you will encounter various challenges through the 82 game seasons, the playoffs or the All Star Weekend. Personally I believe that the biggest challenge occurs during the All Star Weekend, this is mainly because a lot of the challenges presented to you require you to have a continuous shooting rhythm if you were in the 3 point competition but if you were to be in the slam dunk competition you would need to have fast reactions in terms of button mashing. The Playoffs is also one of the hardest challenges presented in the game based on the fact that during the playoffs a team’s defensive and offensive intensity is boosted, therefore presenting a harder challenge for the player in order to gain the championship.

The main element of the gameplay that is the key to success in the game is strategy, you have to know how to use the various offensive and defensive formations that are provided on court by the coach, and this can make or break a team. The way the gameplay engages with the narrative is by making it out as if the more you upgrade your players attributes the better he will become and the higher the chances of getting endorsements. The gameplay is constantly evolving to keep the players attention by giving the CPU its own defensive methods of preventing the player from scoring at all costs, this means that the player will have rely on not just himself but the team too in order to progress.

 NBA 2K15 is targeted a mass audience for people from ages 3 and up, this is because it is quite a family orientated game that is made to suit a variety of people that are interested in sports games such as basketball.  I know that this game was produced for a mass audience due to the fact that there are various online lobbies that consist of players teaming up together to verse opponents.
I personally believe that this game is too advanced for people below the age of 7 due to the fact that there are quite a lot of strategic elements to the game that a child will see as too advanced for them.
This game in comparison to other games targeting the same audience is better due to its simplistic gameplay and easy to use controls. The only hard feature of this game is calling plays due to how advanced it is for people that are new to the world of basketball

NBA 2K15 is available on various platforms such as: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, PC, IOS and Android. But the primary focuses in terms of platforms are the consoles due to there being a lot more features and thing to do on them. 

LO2: Assassin's Creed Unity Game Analysis

This is a massive game based on aspects of stealth and puzzles/strategy. The genre this game belongs to is the action RPG genre; this is due to the fact that some missions require you to plot how you will complete an objective in multiple ways.

In comparison to other titles this game fits in ok to its genre, but it doesn’t allow you to make your own decision that are a major part of most role playing games.

The narrative of this game is basically a revenge story. You play a character called Arno Dorian who has had his name tarnished by a few corrupt people within France. Your main objective is to find the people who killed your adoptive father and clear your name while finding out more answers in terms of why they did it.
The way in which the story informs the gameplay is by recruiting you into the assassins, this fits in well with the gameplay because it makes it seem as if the assassins taught you character how to fight within the diegesis of this game.
Throughout this game there is no free interaction between characters, everything within this game is scripted a certain way to fit around the story mode. The story connects with the audience by allowing the audience to experience the backstory of the protagonist, allowing them to feel closer to him.

The development of this game began in 2010 after the release of assassin’s creed brotherhood.  Due to the fact that the new next gen consoles have a higher processing speed Ubisoft were able to improve the quality of their NPC crowd. This gives the game a more realistic feel to it for the players due to the fact that the environment almost feels completely real therefore enhancing the overall gameplay of the game.

Assassin’s Creed Unity have added a new climbing system into this came in comparison to the previous games, they have completely changed the game physics of the franchise by producing a more detailed and advanced method of climbing up and down buildings. This makes traveling up buildings a lot quicker yet more advanced. Another feature of the game mechanics that has been changed to enhance the gameplay of Assassin’s Creed Unity is the combat system, now Ubisoft have decided to create a whole new combat system, this excludes the chain killing system making it harder and more of a challenge gameplay wise for the player

The way in which the characters are relevant to the target audience is due to the fact that the target audience feel as if the have a connection with the due to the fact that the audience get to grow with the character in his early years.
Looking a Arno in terms of his appeal to the audience you can see that Ubisofts intensions were to give the audience the same feeling through Arno as they did Ezio but were unable to give the audience the same feel within the game.

In terms of how strong I believe the character are in this game is  that I believe that the characters aren’t really that strong, this is due to the fact that I believe that Ubisoft weren’t able to produce the same connection with the players and main character of the game, in terms of the strength of Arno I believe that he is weaker than Ezio and Connor based on the fact that he’s fighting style seems a bit sluggish in comparison to them.
